Welcome to the September 6, 2007 edition of the Bible in the News at www.bibleinthenews.com, this is David Billington. "Never Again" has become a famous Jewish motto in regards to the Holocaust and we may wonder, could the Holocaust happen again? Jeremiah the prophet through the spirit wrote that: "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" To this agree the words of the Lord Jesus Christ: in Matthew 15:18,19 "But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies..." The Apostle Paul also spoke of the corruptness of mans natural carnal mind in Romans 8:6-8: "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God." Yet most people will not agree to this plain teaching of the Bible and the reason for this is human pride, that pride of life that caused Eve to take the forbidden fruit, for she imagined that the tree was "a tree to be desired to make one wise."
In scripture the carnal mind is personified as the devil, a word meaning a false accuser or slanderer. For this reason in Ephesians 6:11 we are exhorted to: "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." As we just quoted the Apostle Paul said that to be carnally minded is death, so the carnal mind has the power of death. In this way Jesus died "...that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil" This is the carnal mind in an individual. However, when a group of carnal minds come together in a corporate body such as a government they are also described as the devil by the Bible. An example of this is 1 Peter 5:8: "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour" The words of Jeremiah and Jesus are equally applicable to a government body as to an individual, for out of the heart of the worlds governments proceed evil thoughts, murders, political adulteries and fornications, thefts, false witness and blasphemies against God. Such a political body was the Christian Roman Empire depicted in Revelation 13 as a hideous beast with a mouth speaking blasphemies. This also applies to a collective group of carnal minds in an apostate church, so the Roman Catholic Church is depicted as a drunken harlot with whom the nations of the world have committed fornication in Revelation 17.

In Daniel chapter 2, the Jewish prophet Daniel interprets Nebuchadnezzars dream of a colossal image whose "form thereof was terrible." This image represents the various empires that have ruled the earth and the holy land: Babylon, Medio-Persia, Greece and the various forms of the Roman Empire. However, the vision was to show: "what shall be in the latter days", and in verse 35 we are informed that the image is to be "broken to pieces together." So a massive empire is to be erected in the latter-days that will rule most of the territory of all the four kingdoms at one time. This is Gog's dominion described in a different way in Ezekiel chapter 38. Gog is a proper noun which Young's Concordance says means "high". No doubt the prince Gog will be a man lifted up and filled with pride in its worst form.

So long as the devil rules the kingdoms of this world it is very possible the Holocaust could happen again, for mens hearts are just as evil today as they have always been.

In the thirties the Germans made a concentrated effort to promote paramilitary organizations, such as the Hitler Youth. According to the Holocaust Chronicle: "In 1939 participation in this organization became mandatory, and its membership rose to 8.9 million. The Hitler Youth helped the Nazis indoctrinate German boys with racist ideology as well as give them rudimentary military training." Today in Russia a group is being formed by the Putin government that has many similarities to the Hitler Youth--Maclean's magazine called them the "Putin Youth". The cover of the September Maclean's news magazine in Canada has the headline: "Putin the Terrible, He's creating a neo-fascist, ultra-nationalist monster that may soon lurch out of control." It definaltely grabs your attention as headlines are meant to do--especially if you watch the Bible in the News!

Putin's youth organization is called "Nashi" a name meaning "Ours Together", whose current membership is 100,000 strong and funded by the Kremlin. The are very anti-American or should we say anti-King of the South! They are very loyal to Putin who looks down on them from huge posters at their gatherings and camps and is sometimes seen in person. Part of the movements work involves denouncing the president's critics as fascists. NBC news ran a segment about this organization on August 29th which the recording at the beginning of this program is from--entitled: "We are the Putin generation--In some Russian summer camps, political indoctrination seems to be the focus." The clear stated aim of Nashi is to make Russia a superpower again through a mix of clean living, discipline, nationalism and even some paramilitary training just like the Hitler youth. Local branches of Nashi are spreading across the country. "Can anyone control the forces the Russian president has unleashed?" asks Maclean's. It is the harlot woman that rides the beast and so Putin knows that he must work with the Catholic Church if he wants Europe in his empire. However, it's the Most High that rules in the kingdoms of men, and he will put hooks and the jaws of this ugly beast and human pride and draw to the mountains of Israel where it will meet its end.
